Amid warm applause, Mr. Zhao Jiang, Vice Chairman of WONDER, took the stage for a 20-minute professional presentation of the premium masterpieces. Mr. Zhao reviewed WONDER’s development journey since its founding in 2011 – from the first Multi-pass digital printer to nearly 2,000 units in operation today. Model 1: WD200S-120A High-Definition High-Speed Six-Color Inline Line (with Pre-coating Solution)
This model is equipped with 120 industrial printheads, a baseline resolution of 1200 npi, and special water-based pigment ink. It reaches a maximum printing speed of 150 m/min, supports board thickness from 1.2mm to 20mm, and the printing width is customizable. Notably, the machine features an advanced pre-coating unit, specifically optimized for coated paperboard surfaces – the formulation and process are adapted to enhance coating adhesion and uniformity. After pre-coating, higher color saturation and intensity are achieved, image detail is enhanced, and overall print quality is significantly improved. Moreover, the pre-coating technology maintains stable coating results on different types of paperboard, offering broad applicability and reliability. Mr. Zhao stressed: “Pre-coating plus high-precision printheads bring digital printing infinitely close to offset quality; single-pass high speed plus inline design turns digital color printing into a mass-production tool.”
Model 2: WDMS250S-40A High-Definition Multi-pass & Single-Pass Hybrid Printer
As a hybrid device integrating multi-pass Multi-pass and single-pass printing modes, the WDMS250S achieves “one machine, two modes” – Multi-pass mode offers a maximum width of 2.5 meters, suitable for large-size, thick boards, and irregular orders, with 1200 npi high-definition printing meeting the needs of color boxes and color cartons; high-speed single-pass mode reaches up to 108 m/min, ideal for large-volume standard orders. The two modes can be freely switched, helping carton plants flexibly handle both small and large orders, greatly improving equipment utilization.
Model 3: WD200J-32A+ High-Density High-Speed Digital Inline Line (with Vertical Slotting)
This model uses ultra-high-concentration water-based ink for rich color saturation, reaching a maximum standalone printing speed of 144 m/min and up to 96 m/min in inline slotting mode. Its unique highlight is the vertical slotting unit paired with a horizontal creasing function, integrating printing, slotting, and creasing into one process, dramatically saving labor and time. Mr. Zhao particularly noted that this design lowers the width requirement for the main printing unit, offering a more cost-effective procurement solution, especially suitable for customers with a daily order volume of 10,000–20,000 sheets.
Model 4: WD250J-15A Ultra-High-Concentration Water-Based Ink Multi-pass (CMYK+W Five-Color Mode)
Based on multi-pass Multi-pass, this model adopts a CMYK+W five-color configuration and uses a “white underprint then color overprint” process to directly present vivid color images on dark paperboards such as kraft board and grey board. The water-based white ink is both environmentally friendly and high-quality. The single-row white nozzle design effectively reduces equipment cost. With 1-2 passes, it meets daily order needs, outperforming similar UV Multi-pass in speed. It supports board thickness from 1.2mm to 35mm and wide-format printing, offering strong adaptability.
05 Live Demonstration in Full Swing: Premium Equipment Draws Growing Attention
After the press conference, the live machine demonstration began immediately.
